development of residential communities, for example, has led to an oversupply, leaving many
projects underutilized and failing to generate expected return of investment. This shift in demand
calls for a new approach that moves beyond traditional residential development and embraces
innovative, sustainable, and economically viable construction solutions.
Recognizing this urgent need, Mekarcube Construction aims to take the lead in fostering
industry-wide collaboration by hosting "Synergy in Design & Development: A Forum for
Innovation" on March 29, 2025, at 345 Office Space Event Hall. This exclusive forum was
designed to bring together industry leaders, architects, developers, project managers,
contractors, and investors to explore new opportunities, exchange knowledge, and discuss
strategies that will shape Cambodia’s economy over the next five years.
Our exclusive event discussions extended beyond traditional residential projects, focusing on
six key sectors that present significant growth potential. Through this collaborative initiative,
Mekarcube aims to lead Cambodia’s construction industry into a future defined by
innovation, sustainability, and resilience.

Cambodia’s highly respected figure in the economic development, H.E Dr. Sok Siphana,
Senior Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia, shared his expertise on the nation’s
economic landscape, highlighting the importance of public-private collaboration in driving
sustainable development. With extensive experience in international trade, economic affairs,
and infrastructure policy, H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana’s insights provided invaluable guidane to
industry stakeholders looking to align their projects with national development goals.
Keynote Speech: Mr. Chanritthy San, Managing Director of Mekarcube
Our Managing Director, Mr. Chanritthy San, presented an in-depth analysis of Cambodia’s
emerging sectors, shedding light on future opportunities and sector expansion. He also
highlighted Mekarcube’s commitment to fostering synergy for sustainable growth & innovation,
emphasizing the need to shift from traditional construction to collaborative, future-focused
development. While, Cambodia is at a turning point where commercial and residential projects
alone are no longer sufficient. To ensure long-term stability, Our Managing Director suggested
that we must diversify into sectors that provide lasting impact, such as healthcare, education,
agriculture, elderly living, and transportation infrastructure.
Immersive Workshop & Real-World Case Analysis
One of the event’s most anticipated sessions, this interactive workshop, was designed to
foster collaboration and critical thinking. Attendees worked in teams to tackle real-world
construction challenges, analyzed project case studies, and proposed viable solutions to
industry leaders. This session provided a dynamic platform for professionals to showcase their
expertise while learning from peers and experts.
The five initiatives outlined in the worksheet task were designed to strengthen Cambodia’s
economic market through strategic infrastructure development. Through healthcare
investments, we aim to modernize hospitals and research centers, reducing the need for
overseas medical treatment. Education and traffic management improvements will enhance
school facilities and ease congestion, boosting productivity. By focusing on agriculture and
agribusiness, we aim to increase local fruit production, reduce reliance on imports, and
expand market access. Elderly care facilities will introduce specialized services, fostering new
industries while preserving Cambodia’s cultural traditions. Lastly, urban transport solutions will
improve mobility, reduce economic losses from congestion, and support sustainable urban
growth. These initiatives were designed to drive long-term growth and stability across key
sectors.
